To confirm the statement that God is a God of new of things, Jesus told his disciple when He was about to depart from this world that He was giving them a new commandment to love one another as He had loved them. This commandment to love one another as He had loved. This is the commandment to love is not a new in the sense that Moses had given them the instruction to their neighbours as themselves, but it was in the sense that Jesus was talking about sacrificial love, unconditional love, love without expecting any reward in return. This is a new commandment of love. But how many Christians have this kind of love? Are we not minding our own interest without considering others? Which commandment of love are you practising- Mosaic or Jesus; old or new?
Point of Emphasis: You must love as Jesus has loved us.
