The Lord God keeps his promises to his people. Joshua was an assistant to Moses when God gave the promise that he would give the land of Canaan to the israelites. Improbable as the promise might seem then, Joshua lived to see the promise fulfilled when he succeeded Moses. God ensured all the conditions that he would bring about the conquest of the people, who occupied the land of Canaan. Joshua knew that God brought to pass every conquest he had. For example, the children of israel were fewer in number, less equipped and had less military experience than their enemies. God kept his promise,notwithstanding. God did not fail to keep his promises in the past, He will not start to fail now.
Point of Emphasis: God will keep whatever promise He makes to you.
