7Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.8Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:9And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.10And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.11And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.12And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.13Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Rom. 15:7-13
Among the many things, which the incarnation of Jesus accomplished, we note two in the passage of today's passage. The first is the fulfillment of God's promises to the Jewish patriachs-the promise of a coming Messiah to rule over His people. For centuries, the Jews waited for the promise, though they did not recognize or accept Him when He came.
The second is to give hope of eternal life in God to non-Jews. The latter has lead to fulfilment of various prophecies that the non-Jews would be raised up from different nations to praise God. Many people from different countries all over the world have come to believe in Jesus. These people praises God every minute of the day throughout the world. Do you have this hope of eternal life?
Let the hope establish you firmly in God and a life well-pleasing to Him
Point of Emphasis: Let the hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ be the sure anchor for your soul.
