Jos. 6:2-4, 12-20
The instruction God gave to Joshua apperas to be ridiculous to the ordinary mind- no particular military strategy or tactics to capture the city. The ordinary mind would think they were exposing the soldiers to unnecessary risk, by just marching round the walls. Joshua was a man who had spiritual discernment. He knew that as long he followed God's instructions, he was sure to gain victory. When we obey God, we walk in consonance with His plans, and are sure to gain victory in the battles of life Joshua obeyed God and Jericho was defeated.
Point of Emphasis: When you obey God, you give Him the room to fight and win for you.
