Rom. 9:22-26
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
26And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Romans chapter nine raises an issue, which our unlimited minds find difficulty in understanding-why would a just God choose some people as object of His mercy, on whom to bestow His infinite grace and love, while others are left out. We should bear in mind that al men have forfeited every right to his grace. it is out of love He bestows His grace on whomever He chooses. The grace He bestows, belong to him. He therefore, has the full right to betow it on whom He chooses. Those of us enjoying God's grace should appreciate the great love He has granted to us, without our deserving it in any way. He chose us, while we were lost in sin just like any other
, to demonstrate His great love.
Point of Emphasis: God choose to have mercy on who He will have mercy.
